Seacoast Pickleball is thrilled to invite you to our very first Calcutta, a high-energy afternoon of pickleball, teamwork, friendly competition, and plenty of laughs. This unique format mixes great play with a social twist — making it the perfect way to meet new players, cheer each other on, and enjoy a fun winter afternoon together.
How it works:
Players will be divided into teams of three, giving you a chance to play with different partners and connect with more members of our community.FAQ: Sign up independently— we’ll make the teams on our end!

1:30 PM sharp – Play begins!

Registration opens today and closes Monday, January 20th

Registration rates based on membership
($18, Ospreys | $25 Guest, Eagles & Falcons, no fee)
This event is expected to fill quickly
To ensure smooth scheduling and balanced teams, participation will be capped at 48 players
Because player numbers are critical to the success of this event, please only register if you are confident you can attend. If your plans are uncertain, we kindly ask that you leave the spot open for someone who can commit. Thank you for helping us make this a great experience for everyone!
Potluck-Style Social
Please bring your own beverages and an appetizer, side dish, salad, or dessert to share. Good food + great pickleball = a winning combo.
The Calcutta format is a fun blend of tournament play, light bidding, and social energy. It’s designed to be inclusive and exciting — giving players of all skill levels a chance to compete, win, and have a blast.
Player Ranking
Players will be ranked by skill level and assigned a letter or number (A, B, C or 1, 2, 3), based on the final registration list.
Higher-level players: A / 1
Intermediate players: B / 2
Developing players: C / 3
Match Play Format
Each matchup features two teams facing off, with three games played:
A + B vs. A + B (game to 11, win by 1)
A + C vs. A + C (game to 11, win by 1)
B + C vs. B + C (game to 11, win by 1)
Scoring
Teams earn 1 point for each game won
Total points are tallied at the end of the event
The team with the highest overall score wins
The Pot
Participants place bids on the team(s) they believe will win
The winning bidder(s) take home the pot
If multiple people bid on the winning team, the pot is split evenly
